Fourth Year Community Health Electives

Doctor and Nurse Teaching Medical Students

The fourth-year elective, Providing Health Care for Vulnerable Populations, is a clinical senior elective in medicine.  Students can choose between a month-long rotation at the HOP Clinics, or at one of the three Bridging the Gaps clinical sites:  Covenant House, NewCourtland LIFE, or Prevention Point Philadelphia.

HOP Rotation:  During the month-long rotation, students will attend all HOP clinics and will be responsible for completing a quality improvement project for HOP.  The QI project will be designed based on HOP clinic needs and student interests and must be approved by OCE faculty/staff.

Briding the Gaps Rotation:
Students who are interested in pursuing this fourth-year elective should contact Elissa Goldberg, with as much notice as possible.
