Using Firefox and the Windows Media Player QuickTime Components (Flip4Mac)

Configuring Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and enter your preferences menu by accessing Firefox->Preferences. The Preferences window should open.

  2. Select the 'Application' pane of the Preferences window.

  3. In the search box, type in the extension for Windows Streaming Files, 'asx'. If you do not see any asx results, see the Firefox show hidden extension instructions.

  4. Use the drop down bar to select Windows Media Player . If Windows Media Player is not listed, click other and browse for it from the applications and select it. Change this for application/asx as well. If Windows Media Player was installed correctly it will appear there.
