Last Updated 9/11/2006 3:30 PM
Configuring QuickTime
Select the System Preferences icon on your dock. The System Preferences should open.
In the System Preferences, select the 'Flip4Mac WMV' settings in the 'Other' category. If this icon does not appear you must install Flip4Mac first. The 'Flip4Mac WMV' settings panel should appear.
In the 'Flip4Mac WMV' settings panel, select the 'Movie' tab.
Setting movies to progressive download
Setting movies to progressive download will allow you to fast-forward with sound, but movies will take longer to download and you can only view up to how much has already downloaded. Please be aware that 'progressive download' does not mean you can download the lecture videos for later use.
- Uncheck the option 'Create Streaming Movies' and close the System Preferences.
Setting movies to stream
Streaming movies allow you to 'click around' the lecture, viewing any part of the lecture without having to download the whole thing. However, you cannot use QuickTime's A/V Controls to fast forward or slow down the lecture.
- Check the option 'Create Streaming Movies' and close the System Preferences.
You can return to the main Drexelmed and Apple page.
