After you activate
your Account you will have access to the following:
E-Mail Account:
E-mail is the primary means of communication between the school and students.
For this reason, it is mandatory that all students activate and check
their official University e-mail account. It is each student's responsibility
to check e-mail regularly and to be sure that the mailbox has not exceeded
its quota. All official school correspondence will be sent to the University
e-mail account. Students may elect to obtain e-mail addresses from other
sources, however, it is then their responsibility to forward the University
e-mail to the external account.
Once you "Pick-up Your First Account", your e-mail account will be activated. You can
immediately use the web to log into DrexelOne at http://one.drexel.edu
to check
e-mail. Another way to check your e-mail on the web is by using Webmail
at http://webmail.drexel.edu
You can also set-up an e-mail client (such as Microsoft Outlook Express)
on your notebook to check your mail. Check out current information on
the IRT Drexel website regarding setting
up your e-mail client.
DrexelOne:
DrexelOne is a web portal for Drexel students. Use your Drexel User ID and your email password to access DrexelOne. Here you will find informational messages and you can even customize the page to display the headlines and information you want. As referred to above, DrexelOne (http://one.drexel.edu)
is useful to check your e-mail on the web. You can also get access
to your BannerWeb account (see Banner below) through DrexelOne.
Banner:
Banner is the name of the system which holds all of your personal student
information, including official grades, financial aid info, contact info
and more. You can view and make changes to some of this information using
BannerWeb. BannerWeb is accessable by logging into DrexelOne (see above).
Class Mailing
Lists:
All medical students are automatically pre-subscribed to a class electronic
mailing list based on their class and track they have chosen. The 2 lists
for your class are
SOM2010IFM-LIST@lists.drexel.edu and SOM2010PIL-LIST@lists.drexel.edu
NOTE: These lists will NOT be activated until Orientation week.
In addition, faculty
and administration may also subscribe to the lists. These lists are for
internal use for College of Medicine activities only (both academic and
extracurricular). They are not to be used by individuals outside the University
or for any commercial purpose. You will only be able to send email to
these lists using your University e-mail account. All postings from third
party accounts (such as AOL, Hotmail, Comcast, Verizon) will be rejected.
To see all the class lists and the rules for using them, click on the
Class E-Mail Lists link on the main Webcampus Current Students page or
