At St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children
DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM:
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is located in North Philadelphia, at Erie and Front. A large majority of patients are Puerto Rican or Latin American and primarily Spanish speakers. Bi-lingual medical students are encouraged to use their skills for translating brochures and informational documents, as well as interpreting for patients and their families in the Ambulatory Care Clinic.
Interested students must attend an orientation and training in medical interpretation as well as pass oral and written tests in Spanish.
