Technical Help for Virtual Grand Rounds

To view our Virtual Grand Rounds, you will need to have the following components.

• Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator (version 5.0 or later)
• The newest version of either the Free Real Player or the free Windows Media Player installed
  See the "Format" listed for each presentation to determine which player is needed
• Sound card and speakers (or headphones)
• An Internet connection
• Screen resolution of 800 x 600 (Maximize your browser view...in Internet Explorer press the F11 key to toggle between Full Screen mode)

If you are not sure you have Real Player installed, click on a specific presentation. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the RealPlayer's VCR-like control panel. You should also see the word "Buffering..." If you see the Table of Contents but only a large empty black area on the right, then you need to download and install the RealPlayer.

If you are not sure you have Windows Media Player, click on a specific presentation. After the presentation begins, you should see the slides on the right-hand side of your page. If you do not see hear see video or hear audio and you do not see VCR-like controls on the upper left-hand corner, then you will need to download the newest version of Windows Media Player.

Go to www.real.com to download it now.
After you download the file, you will need to run the file which will start the installation process.
Follow the directions in the installation program.

To get the free Windows Media Player:
Go to www.microsoft.com to download it now.
After you download the file, you will need to run the file which will start the installation process.
Follow the directions in the installation program.
