Information for U.S. Medical Students Seeking Elective Rotations at Drexel University College of Medicine

All courses currently offered through DUCOM are listed in the 2012-2013 Senior Course Catalog, available on-line at http://webcampus.drexelmed.edu/clinicaleducation/seniorelectives.  If you are interested in pursuing an elective course at Drexel University College of Medicine, please address correspondence to the Division of Clinical Education. DUCOM does not use the Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS).

Policies for Visiting Students:

 

Some visiting U.S. students may wish to schedule an elective rotation at one of our affiliated educational institutions.  With the exception of those listed below, contact the Division of Clinical Education.  Should you wish to do an elective rotation at one of the following clinical sites, please contact the following individuals at their respective hospitals:

For the 2012-2013 Academic Year, 4th year courses have the beginning start dates: Link to Block Start dates for 2012-2013

 

Visiting student requests are processed on a first received-first filled basis, beginning on June 1 of each year for rotations beginning in July.  No applications will be accepted until March 1 of the academic year; however, they are reviewed beginning in June in the order they were received and notifications will not be made until that time.  All arrangements should be completed six-weeks prior to the start of the rotation. If your rotation request cannot be honored, you will be notified and your check will be destroyed. If you are placed into one of your selections, you will be notified and your check will be cashed.
